THE CHALLENGE

A global consumer products leader wanted to equip their senior decision makers with the information they needed to manage their business effectively in different markets across the world.

The top 100 executives were flying out each week to meet with local teams and make decisions about dozens of markets and operating companies, with high-stakes operational, marketing, and investment decisions on the line. But the executives often lacked effective commercial reporting and insight, and were sometimes “flying blind,” lacking a deeper understanding of customer demand and competitor activity in each market.

The CEO wanted to strengthen the leadership team’s ability to understand the nuances of each market and reflect it in their decision making.

A number of previous projects intended to achieve the same result had failed to land effectively, struggling to cope with the unique problems of a highly distributed group of senior decision makers.
