Ethan helps clients around the world and across industries to build and effectively deploy capabilities in data & analytics, digital, and technology. His practice is based on his personal experience: five years in Oliver Wyman’s traditional consulting ranks followed by ten years founding and growing the Oliver Wyman Labs team to its current size of ~250.

During this journey, Ethan personally has worked as a consultant, data scientist, front-end and back-end developer, database developer, client support, infrastructure platform engineer, and information security expert. He also hired and nurtured better experts than himself for all of these roles, and he has cultivated this team to integrate tightly with the business-focused consultants in Oliver Wyman.

Having watched over hundreds of Labs projects and built much of the infrastructure to make them succeed, Ethan now shares this experience with clients, whether they seek help solving a specific problem or building an entire capability.

Ethan historically had focused on retail and consumer industries, but his recent work has been split across financial services, transportation, health and life sciences, telco, and a variety of other industries.

When not traveling for Oliver Wyman, Ethan spends most of his time near his wife’s family in Costa Rica, where he is constantly amazed that his children are more used to seeing monkeys than squirrels.

Ethan holds a BA magna cum laude in physics from Harvard University; and a Microsoft certification in SQL Server database development.
